Dr. Robert Hooper

Doctor Hooper is a board certified sleep specialist and the owner and medical director of The Sleep Center, P.C. He began working in the field of sleep medicine at Walter Reed Army Medical Center the 1970’s. After military service, he opened one of the first sleep laboratories in Arizona in 1980.

Dr. Hooper’s experience has included clinical practice, clinical research and the training of physicians and healthcare professionals. His research has been published in many journals including the “New England Journal of Medicine” and he has published over eighty articles and books.

Dr. Hooper has authored a book on sleep disorders designed as a guide for patients with sleep problems. It is written clearly in an easily understood manner and has received excellent reviews. “Sleep and Its Disorders, What You Should Know,” is available from Amazon.com.

Dr. Hooper has achieved the level of Fellowship in the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American College of Physicians and the American College of Chest Physicians. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and did his specialty training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.

In his clinical practice, Dr, Hooper is available to assist with all forms of sleep disorders. He sees patients at The Sleep Center in Scottsdale Arizona.
